Most Valuable Player of the Year Award
The Most Valuable Player of the Year Award is presented by the United Press International (UPI) to the top player in the National Football League (NFL). From 1948 through 1969 the winner was selected by polling all UPI sportswriters and starting in 1970 separate awards were given in the NFC & AFC.
