Super Bowl MVP Award
The Super Bowl Most Valuable Player or Super Bowl MVP, is an award given at the conclusion of the Super Bowl, the National Football League's championship game, to the player deemed to have made the most significant positive impact on the outcome of the game. Currently, the winner is chosen by a panel of members of the media, and the fans. The media panel's ballots count for eighty percent of the votes while the fans' ballots count for twenty percent. The fans may vote online during the game. Prior to Super Bowl XXXV, only the media panel selected the MVP.

Did you know that Chuck Howley, who won the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award in Super Bowl V, played for the losing team?
There have been forty-three Super Bowl Most Valuable Players; sixteen are enshrined in the Football Hall of Fame, eight were defensive players, four were former Heisman Trophy Award winners, and only one played on special teams.
From 1960 through 1990 the winner of the Super Bowl MVP was given a new Buick and a watch. Since 1991 the winner receives the Pete Rozelle Trophy, named in honor of the National Football League Comissioner who served from 1960 through 1989, and a new Cadillac of their choice.
