Did you know that the original Baltimore Ravens logo (seen below) was used from 1996 through 1998 and "retired" after the Ravens were sued by Frederick E. Bouchat — a Maryland artist who won the copyright infringment case?

Baltimore Ravens Logo 1996 - 1996
The 1998 Baltimore Ravens were the first in team history to finish the season with a .500 record. The 2000 Baltimore Ravens were the first to win a wildcard playoff game, a divisional playoff game, a conference championship and a Super Bowl.
The Ravens have a Ring of Honor which is on permanent display encircling the field of M&T Bank Stadium, including a sign with the names and dates of play viewable from the seats. The ring, which includes people and players from both the Baltimore Colts and Ravens, currently honors the following: Raymond Berry, Peter Boulware, Earnest Byner, Art Donovan, Ted Hendricks, John Mackey, Gino Marchetti, Michael McCrary, Art Modell, Lenny Moore, Jim Parker and Johnny Unitas.
