Cincinnati Bengals History by Football Almanac

Did you know that in Cincinnati Bengals have had three former Rookie of the Year Award winners including two consecutively? In 1968 Paul Robinson rushed for more than a thousand yards and won, in 1969 Greg Cook threw for 1,854 yards and 15 touchdowns, and in 1985 Eddie Brown had 53 receptions and 942 yards after catch while scoring 8 touchdowns.

The Cincinnati Bengals conference affiliation has changed throughout their history starting in the American Football League's Western Division (1968-1969). When the NFL split into two conferences during the 1970 season the Cincinnati Bengals played in the AFC Central from 1970 through 2001 then in the AFC North from 2002 through today.

Who was the best Bengals player in team history? Was it one of those listed above who had their number retired? Was it one of their Hall of Fame players? What about Ken Anderson, Eddie Brown or Boomer Esiason? Tell us your opinion on Pigskin Fever today!
